I’m so excited about Clarke Middle Health Center finally opening up in it’s permanent location! I just recently was able to get one of my CCHS student in the next day for a sports physical! The most positive thing that the health centers have to offer, in my opinion, is that if I have a kid with minor medical concerns or illnesses needing to attend school one day, I can send them on to school, and school staff will chaperone them to a medical visit at the Health Center!!!! The kids don’t have miss school (for very long, or travel far for dr. visit) and still have their medical needs taken care of!! What more could a busy, exhausted, married or single, job-working or homemaker, mobile or non-mobile mother or father ask for???? And I’ve taken my kids on a few occasions so I can personally say that the staff there is absolutely amazing, hospitable and detailed! You feel right at home with them as if you were with your own PCP! Don’t forget that the services they provide are not only free for Clarke County School District students (Transportation provided by School Bus from school for students!!) but also their families as well!!! I could go on and on about the necessity and importa
